Alchemilla mollis (Lady's Mantle)
This hardy perennial is absolutely enchanting when dew or raindrops bead up on the scallop shaped lobed leaves.
Comfortable down to zone 3 winters, and comfortable anywhere from full sun to relatively deep shade A. mollis is a very undemanding plant. Can be used as a ground cover as it form clumps with shallow slowly spreading rhizomes. Self seeds easily.
Blooms June/July. We often take the small chartreuse flower scapes off prefering the beauty of the foliage on it's own.
